Career questions increasingly show up in leadership coaching conversations. Leaders bring questions about purpose, values, direction, identity, stretch or transition, yet many coaches feel uncertain about how far to go, how to contract for this work, or how to coach effectively without slipping into advice or consultancy.
This workshop builds the confidence, competence and practical capability coaches need to weave career coaching seamlessly into their work with Leaders.
What to expect:
This is a highly experiential, practice-based session that equips coaches to:
- Recognise when career themes are present in leadership coaching
- Confidently open and hold career-focused conversations with Leaders
- Use simple, structured tools to support clarity without advice-giving
- Integrate career coaching ethically and skillfully into existing engagements
- Be aware of contracting and boundaries in career-related coaching
- Work with career as a whole life, systemic consideration
- Become familiar with and practice using 2–3 career tools from the CCS Balance™ Toolkit
Learning outcomes
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Articulate the role of career coaching within leadership coaching
- Identify natural entry points for career conversations
- Use 2-3 key CCS Balance™ Tools to explore career direction and alignment between individual and organisational goals
- Draw on approaches to coach leaders through career uncertainty with greater confidence
- Apply a more intentional and clearly defined coaching stance when working in the career space
