Why a Holistic approach to Career Coaching? 

Holistic career coaching goes beyond traditional career coaching. The latter may involve talking about aspirations along with a focus on development or progression, but with a little or no attention to what the person may be experiencing external to the workplace. Since this can include challenges to mental or physical health, family responsibilities, significant transition and personal crises, career coaches cannot ignore the potential impact on motivation, engagement, well-being and performance. 

Since COVID-19, many people have re-evaluated their work and life priorities, and decided they are going to take better care of themselves and those close to them. Partly because of the shifts in employment markets, employers have taken significant steps to acknowledge and promote the wellbeing of their employees, not least to keep their engagement at work. Now is the time to develop skills and tools to support coachees to care for themselves and their careers.

Coachees who are:

• reaching burn out and questioning ‘How can I sustain work for the years ahead?’
• frustrated they are not able to fully utilise their strengths at work
• wanting to improve their career management strategies
• finding their energy is depleted from insufficient self care
• feeling flat about their current career, and wondering ‘what next’?

Who can attend the Holistic Career Coaching Certificate?

Individuals who are interested both in learning more about holistic career coaching and in integrating it within their own coaching work who are either a:

• Graduates of the CCS Core Skills Accredited Career Coach training (Association for Coaching)
• Experienced Coaches (Employer based or independent) 
• Previous participants on the CCS Balance™ Training who wish to refresh and extend their holistic career coaching and gain an ICF Certificate
• All participants must have at least 50 hours coaching experience over the last two years
